The LandCare Foundation
The LandCare Foundation is formed by people with a common feeling of responsibility to care for the land now and for the generations that are to follow. This European foundation aims to raise awareness on the necessary improvement of natural resource management practices, to raise awareness on our relation with agriculture and nature use and to lobby for policy attention towards this issue.
The foundation supports rural community groups in different regions in Europe who create volunteering and learning experiences. By putting urban people in intense contact with the knowledge and practices of rural communities, a new solidarity will emerge, a solidarity that will enable farmers and rural entrepreneurs to better protect nature and the environment!
The members of the foundation are representatives and experts from disciplines that study alternative ways of relating to nature: organic agriculture, permaculture, critical rural sociology, ecological agrotourism, environmental arts and education, edible landscaping and holistic philosophy.
