LandCare Project
The LandCare Foundation stimulates projects that improve consumers’ involvement in farming and food supply in Europe.
Projects eligible for support:
1. Establishment of GreenWays: Protection of cultural and natural heritage through the creation of sustainable tourism routes in the frame of the Local Agenda 21.
2. Support farmers to adapt to climate change: restoration and protection of soils through soil carbon credits. Implementation and training in Ramial Chipped Wood, rotation schedules, hedgerow planting, composting.
3. Revival of Transhumance: Protection of rare farm breeds and cultural landscapes through the revival of the transhumance tradition.
4. Harvest Help: Protection of rare plant and tree varieties by stimulation ‘consumer adoption programme’ and harvest support.
